In order to be eligible to compete in both the state and international competition, members will be responsible for picking an event that is most suitable to their interests. Each member must complete their event to the best of their abilities, based on both the guidelines and templates that have been provided.
wHAT ARE THE COMPETITIONS LIKE?
At the start of both CDC and ICDC, members will be provided with a time card which will consist of both their assigned presentation time and location. On their designated day, members will be responsible for arriving at their location 10 minutes prior to their competing time. Once they have competed in their event, they are encouraged to enjoy their trip in the parameters delegated by the advisers.
How do i win?

Where is icdc this year?
The international competition will take place in Nashville, Tennesee for the 2020 year.
What is the dress code?
DECA is very particular on what participants must wear. At competitions, it is required for all members to be wearing business professional with a blazer. Keep in mind that it is better to be comfortable than to be stylish! Check out our packing lists under either CDC or ICDC for more information.
Do i have to work alone?
No! Although working alone is an option, there are many events in which members can work in a group. We encourage members to work in a setting which is most comfortable for them. Check out the events page for more information!
